Midhurst Museum, Knockhundred Row

I’ve mentioned this old row in Midhurst a few times now. This is Midhurst Museum within Knockhundred Market. It consists of one small room. They have so many exhibits that they have a theme each month to rotate the artefacts and display as many local items as possible.

Up the stairs is Cockburns Tea Room, slightly old fashioned but serving very nice teas. There is also a sweetie shop, and a beauty specialist that would not have been seen in the original market. Similar buildings adjoining and opposite in Knockhundred Row are C17, many with earlier origins, and I’m guessing from the look of it that this market is the same date. Which means there has been a market on this spot for at least 400 years.

Thanks so much for all the good wishes you sent. Getting used to the idea of a third chemotherapy, and getting things under way to make it happen. Meanwhile I shopped at Tesco's this morning, and walked into town and back this afternoon. Fingers crossed I'll be able to go on doing this for a long time to come.
