Let's go down to the river

Bitterly cold and damp with some drizzle so we decided to go for a walk after lunch. Just too biting to garden.
We can reach the River Goyt fairly quickly from our house and headed off in that direction. This is a shot taken en route which I think epitomises dreary January. I was glad to get back home to the ironing.
