On the way home from Glasgow
This is the infamous Rest and Be Thankful hill showing fencing on the the right to prevent big rocks hurtling to the road. Or not.
Last March after the X-ray showed broken ankle bones John drove me to Paisley Hospital in Glasgow. We left Mull on the 5.00 pm ferry on a dark wet Sunday evening and travelled all the way to the top of this hill only to be turned back. A landrover was parked across the carriageway with two men stood there to prevent cars continuing along this stretch of road. In the words of Mr Angry 'All 'they' had to do was use the information board placed on the road junction and we would have have saved miles and miles of driving'. John phoned the police but it wasn't anything to do with them. And by the time we arrived home it was forgotten.
As the above (lazy) image shows it was a bleak drive to Oban however the fire was lit when we arrived home. Those puss cats are clever.
