Commerative Seat

Had to travel to Scarborough today and decided to detour in search of something to photograph. Just as well because when we turned our backs on the coast we returned to grey drab conditions.

At the top of the Tram Railway which trundles down to the beach in the summer months is a small garden. A new bench to commemorate fallen heroes had been installed.

Personally I would like it to face the other way to enjoy the view over the Bay to the harbour instead of towards the buildings.

Now heading to York for roller skiing lesson. If I can tear myself away from the fireside!
