playgroup pleasure?!

We finally found a playgroup which worked for all of us. Excellent activities for Eve and a gentle structure, a nice baby area and no overly competitive Mum chat. The fellow Mum conversations I find most disturbing are "how long does your baby sleep", "who has has the most effective breasts" and "who is indulging in unthinkable evils such as dummies and bottles"..... it's just a whole minefield of insecurities and I have found too many groups focused on how Mums feel their failing instead of just being together and offering support and amusement. Anyway, the vibe of the playgroup at Tintwistle URC was entirely lovely. Eve made a snow picture, dressed up, generally had fun and then we sang and snacked. I had varied conversations with some fascinating women and a couple of interesting gents too. Meanwhile, Zeke slept and ate and slept and ate.
