I’d been hosing the garden so if you look carefully you will see several small drops of water on some of the petals.
Most of this dahlia plant was still in the shade, but the morning sun was just beginning to highlight two buds and petals of this recently opened flower.

Bright sunshine, a cloudless sky and warm temperatures today – perfect summer weather.
A swim at high tide at Motueka Beach was relaxing and very enjoyable.
