When the going gets weird

Circles of Confusion

January can be a tough month. It feels particularly grim this year. There is a gap between what my brain expects and my body is willing to deliver.

The body is making all sorts of unhealthy noises. The brain suspects that the body is making a fuss about nothing. The body objects to being called a chancer and starts dicking about with the central nervous system so the brain knows it's serious. Brain, recognising a familiar pattern goes into panic mode. Body notices brain is freaking out. Body gets paranoid, because Brain was always the smart one, if he's freaking out, something terrible must be happening...

Body and brain run around in circles screaming for hours. Eventually they tire themselves out and agree that staying under a duvet for a very long time is the only possible and sensible solution.

Except that's not an option. So Body puts one foot in front of the other and off go they go.
