Stop wasting food!

Activists from the Norwich Claimants Union and The People's Picnic are holding weekly protests outside supermarkets to raise awareness of the obscene practice of throwing food away rather than redistributing it to those who need it.

Today they were outside Marks and Spencer, last week they were outside Tesco.  More photos can be seen here.

Postscript: Since I published these photos on my Facebook timeline, a fellow blipper and politically aware chum has advised me that Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury's do actually redistribute food via FareShare which is good news and I've shared that info with the Claimants Union and People's Picnic.
