Alert

I'm taking part in  the Big Garden Birdwatch this weekend and have my binoculars ready and waiting.  The idea is to note down all birds you see in one hour and send in the information to be recorded.

On the list of birds are the obvious ones i.e. blackbirds, robins, chaffinch etc but not thrush, jay, crows and rooks.  They ask you to note if you have additional birds visit the garden, but I assumed thrushes etc were a regular visitor to British gardens.

They also require you to mention other wildlife that visits your garden i.e. badger (check), hedgehogs (check), squirrels (check) but NOT foxes.  I am, of course, mentioning our fox.

So today's blip is our Rodney who is alert and waiting for his arch enemy Dave the Dunnock to try and steal his seed.

You can bet it'll be another bird blip from me tomorrow!!!
