Thanksgiving

Mum wanted a Thanksgiving Service some time after her burial so we held it yesterday. Lots of friends and relations came and it was a beautiful service. My brother and son read passages from her books, my daughter in law did a reading and I played for the hymns that she had chosen. We had a tape of her and my dad (who died in 1978) singing "Sweet chiming Christmas bells" with Mum on the organ so that was played too.

The "do" in the village hall was lovely too, it was great to catch up with people from various phases of her life. She would have loved it!
