Ladybird, ladybird...

To the de la Warr to see the Ladybird exhibition that opened today. Lots of people of a certain age sharing our Ladybird memories. You know something's special when Englishman speaks unto Englishman without having first been formally introduced. The illustrations are beautiful and evocative - Shopping with Mother in particular shows a vanished world. The exhibition's well worth a visit if you're in the area; I'll def be going back.

A ten mile walk justified pizza for lunch. Went to Trattoria Italiano where the pizzas are excellent and massive - I could only manage half and I'm a right greedy pig.
Back home to my sofa, my duvet and Carry On Up the Khyber.
