A birds eye view

Like a lot of people I took part in the RSPB big garden birdwatch today. It was a good day to do it as a lot of the birds were very active and with a layer of snow and freezing temperatures the birds needed food from the garden feeders.
I sat and watched and noted the following birds, numbers in brackets show last years numbers,

great tit - 3 (3)

pheasant- 1 (0)
male sparrow -1(0)
red wings - 3 (0)
long tailed tits - 6 (2)
wren -1(0)

Absent from this years count siskin. No sighting of the woodpecker or sparrowhawk.
