No, not an ad for Specsavers

I was well overdue for my annual eye check up so managed to squeeze one in during the mini thaw. All was well and in fact one eye is markedly improved since my last check up post cataract operations. The optician also had a super duper new machine which plots the back of the eye to pick up problems with the macular or retina and it showed quite clearly the 'dead' scarred area in both my eyes where I had detached retinas in my late teens. It was fascinating to see. The selection of specs cases are the result of my recent clear out and were left with him so they could be sent overseas to help someone else.
