Mediterranean gulls

I remember being really excited when I saw my first Mediterranean gull at Chew Valley Lake in the 70s.They've got much commoner since then and in Dorset it's not unusual to see 100 of them together. There are four in this picture, among some black-headed gulls, easy to pick out by their white wing-tips, large red bills and larger size. Still able to thrill and still one of my favourite birds.
