Give me refuge

We like cooking shows - as long as they are not shows where people are treated badly. This means we watch quite a few. Diners, Drive-in's and Dives tends to be one we put on in the evening.

It used to be that cooking shows sent B to sleep - but now he seems to enjoy them - especially watching Good Guy (as he calls the host) and his fast car.

Recently we saw a place called the Refuge who scratch make everything, including their own pastrami. It's in San Carlos (about 40 mins from us) and if you like pastrami then you should go. We had the pastrami burgers and B had Mac-n-cheese and we shared fries with garlic, pastrami and cheese. B discovered he loves fresh pastrami, garlic fries and Sauerkraut amongst other things.

They also sell Belgian Beer - lots of lovely beer. R sampled some and i drove home - next time its my turn.

Definately worth the trip - but now i need a nap
