The watcher by the pond

The pond is a small one in Perth's Norie-Miller Gardens, beside a path.

The heron took no notice of me, or a man with a small dog. I half-hoped someone would accidentally disturb it, for a picture in flight. I couldn't do it deliberately though, so after ten minutes I walked quietly away.
