porkbelly
...has been one of those dishes i've wanted to make but never got around to it. Either the belly is too expensive for a trial run, or it all seemed too hard... But not today.
A porkbelly on sale was like the universe telling me it was time. The expiry date looming & a long work week meant that today is the day. Using the googlebox & a few of my own favourite flavours, a little marinating time & a long slow cook.....ta-daa .... -oh-em-gee- this sticky porkbelly is delicious.
Next time i will try & get a crunchy top.
The rest of my day was spent lifting a few heavy objects at the gym, vacuumed the floor, went to Bunning's & seasoned a few steaks for the BBQ (porkbelly cooking time meant it finished too late to eat tonight)
