Surprised!

The caretaker for the Filoli took me on a tour of the outer bounds of the estate today.  As we were driving on a dirt road along the North Fields, we spooked a very large Coyote as he was crossing the field.

The wildlife on the property of over 600 acres is quite diverse and amazing.

I have yet to hear any Coyotes yelping in the evening, but as we get closer to spring, I'm sure I'll hear their serenading.

Ow, ow, ow, Oooooow!

This image was taken from the passenger seat of the truck.  A 20x crop to get a better look, but less detail.  I would like to get a better closeup of one of the coyotes as they are quite healthy and have a beautiful coat which is not obvious in this photo.
