Picture of a picture

Because of the damp weather today - drizzle (which I prefer to call sea-mist) - I didn't want to take the camera out and wondered for a while what to post today.  I settled on a picture of a picture which our son had put on a canvas and given to me a couple of years ago.  I had no idea he was going to do this and was very pleasantly surprised.  The original picture was just one of those spur of the moment snaps which happen sometimes and which turn out to our satisfaction.  Considering it was taken with my pocket point and shoot - a Fujifilm Pinepix - I thought it pretty good.  It was a zoomed in shot of some fuchsias on the wall outside our house.  I would have tidied up the background had I known the son and heir was going to put it on canvas, but certainly cannot complain.  It hangs on the wall over my desk right in front of my laptop so I see it many times a day.

We are having roast chicken tonight and the red kites can look forward to the carcass in a day or two after I have made soup from it.
