secret garden

By freespiral

Like a circle in a spiral...

.... like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning on an ever spinning reel
Like a snowball down a mountain, or a carnival balloon
Like a carousel that's turning running rings around the moon
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping past the minutes of its face
And the world is like an apple whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find in the windmills of your mind!

Dull, grey and moisty today - I walked the circuit and went down to the sea. The tide was way way out. These old tree trunks are weathering nicely - the remains of eight huge pines that were felled in the storms this time last year.
Himself has just dug up a section of the lawn and is doing something creative with it in the conservatory. Interesting.

Windmills of your mind  Polo necks, you don't see them so much these days. I remember we were banned from wearing them in school, the reason being they were not very feminine and made us look like rugby players. Those were the days when your skirt lengths were measured too - no more than 4 inches above the knee when you were kneeling down! Tape measures were produced.
