The Burns Prep

So Ms H took another leap yesterday. > 90% of the girls at her school have long hair. A year or so ago I questioned if she'd ever get her hair cut short as I though it might suit her. Yesterday as I sent her off to her appointment for what I thought was a wee trim, she texted to say she might get it a bit shorter. As I sat in starbucks looking out the window waiting for her, my heart skipped a beat when she came into view. Not just because I think it really suited her, but she was brave enough to do it, by herself, and she kept her plan a secret. Apparently she had discussed with Mrs C!

This is day 2  and I think it is keeping the style fairly well, that is despite my attempt to use the hair straighteners on her (at her request) and not knowing where they get hot, burned myself... how apt.

This afternoon we practiced 2 songs we are hopefully performing next Saturday at our local Burns Night Supper. I am not sure how nervous I will be for both of us, I've not done anything like it for 35 years, and Ms. H... well never. Anyway, we've got more practice to do!
