The Wave & the Ice

After breakfast today we went driving around, & I managed to get some nice shots of some of the ducks & then since we were in the area, we drove to Grant Park Beach to see if anything was happening. Well the wind was blowing & the waves were crashing & the "ribbons of ice" were back, since the temperatures have dropped back below freezing. I could only make it about half way out on the observation platform because it was so coated with ice & so windy it would have been dangerous to go out any farther. I had a hard time deciding which to post, so I went with this one, taken just as one of the waves hit. more photos
