I'm in stitches

One or two decades ago ;-), when I was about 14, I was sitting watching television one evening and I became aware of someone looking at me.  I looked over to find my mum was doing a pencil drawing of me.  A couple of years later, she turned that drawing into this really clever black stitch embroidery.

Since most of you haven't seen me, just to let you know how good it is, when I was in my early twenties, this embroidery was in an exhibition.  I was looking at something else in the exhibition, when again, I became aware of people looking at me.  When I looked up this time, it was two women who were standing next to my mum's embroidery and they called across to ask if it was me.  I may be biased, but I'm very proud of how amazingly talented my mum is!

It was a horribly wet day in Glasgow today, so we stayed in and pottered around. Since I'm staying with my mum and dad, in the house I grew up in, I decided to blip this for purely sentimental reasons.
