A visit to North Berwick today for lunch with my mother, a trip out and a few odd jobs at her home.

On the way back, instead of taking the Drem road I went by the coast. As I passed Longniddry Bents I saw the sails of kireboarders so stopped for a look. Two were criss-crossing the bay and their kites occasionally passed in front of the fading light.

I'd blipped from this spot previously: I hadn't realised until just now that it was exactly a year ago today. The temperature then was 6oC cooler then: today was windy but much more pleasant. Looking at my blip the next day in 2014 reminds me that it is marmalade time!
