Keeping secrets

I'm a very bad journal keeper.  

I do try, but find I lack the discipline required to write often.  One outcome of this is that the finished product lacks flow or narrative.  Each entry is simply that - a snapshot of the day in question - disconnected from those which precede it and, also, those which will follow.

Nonetheless, there's something rewarding about putting pen to paper.  Committing thoughts in a way that seems somewhat old fashioned.  Considered even.

It's also enjoyable to re-read on occasion: oh yes - we did enjoy that holiday etc. etc.
