Dedication....

Today was a special day in our family as it was the 'dedication' of our darling grandaughter Evie who will be a year old next month. For those of you not familiar with dedication, it's similar to a christening. Dedicating a child acknowledges God's sovereignty not only over the child, but also Mum and Dad. Parents present their child before God and His people asking for grace and wisdom in carrying out their responsibilities. Parents also come praying that their child might one day trust Jesus Christ as Saviour for the forgiveness of sin. Our family are very committed to our faith in Jesus and one day hope that our grandchildren will choose to be the same. It was a lovely day and fun was had over lunch at Cobo Tearoom afterwards.
