Double Oriental Lily 'Polar Star'

Sacrificed todays' blip from Seymour Square to get in a blip of this lovely lily - hot today, another 30 degrees again, and the heat just ruins them. 'Polar Star 'is one of the few orientals which are double. Released about 2010 it has astonishing scent but is not fertile....no stigma or stamen... propagation by bulb scales only. I am amazed at the scent - my Dad did not like the lily scent so at Christmas we always had a bunch of lilies with most of the stamen removed - that fixed the scent - but not so with 'Polar Star'.
