Leaving on a jet plane ...maybe ...

What a day indeed, was leaving town at midday ...until Sunday afternoon ...leaving on a jet plane....
Got to the airport in plenty time, flight boarded on time, then it all started to go a bit pear shaped. This pretty awful picture, taken on my phone, shows one of three fire engines that attended a smell of burning and smoke ON the plane. The plane was evacuated, six burly firemen came on, and checked it all out. The airport manager and the head engineer and a whole load of other official people. They identified the 'fault', which occurred in a sequence of events to start the second engine and decided they could by-pass it by using ground based power ............ ??
The flight left two and a half hours late, meanwhile the people meeting me at the other end had decided to wait at the airport, once I arrived about 6.30pm and we got to the car we discovered the parking cost £50 !!!! This was because they had been waiting for just over three hours !!! ........

Ps .... I forget to say, the skyline above the clouds was absolutely amazing, a red and orange line right across, I did manage to take a picture, again on the phone but because there was only a line of colour in the darkness if wouldn't upload, it really was fantastic though !! :)
