Lapwing

I met up with the local birding group and we went on a walk visiting a couple of hides and seeing some of the birds that overwinter here. We saw several lapwing, this one was kind enough to come a bit closer so I could photograph it but it could have been a bit sharper. We also saw black and bar tailed godwits, snipe, spotted redshank and greenshank and lots of various ducks and wigeon. It was rather chilly, I had underestimated how cold it would be so am pleased to be back indoors in the warm and having walked over 4 miles.
