The Firth from the City
Glasgow has the Clyde, London the Thames, Paris the Seine, Boston the Charles; but I have rarely thought of Edinburgh as 'having' the Forth, even through the years of being in the capital frequently. Then you look down from Queen Street , for example, and you remember yet again that the Forth is right there.
An exhibition visiting day today! First Robert Colquhoun and Robert MacBryde at the Modern 2; then a January visit to the Turner watercolours at the Mound; then The BP Portrait Award , Beauty By Design and Remembering the Great War exhibitions at the Portrait Gallery. All the above punctuated by coffee and a healthy lunch as well as a visit to the Nespresso shop to buy the 'proper' cups from which to drink a lungo!
Such fun!
