Pancake

When the friend whom I was visiting this afternoon said she was baking a (delicious smelling) cake, I was surprised when she removed a frying pan from the oven (see insert).
She set it on the hob which made it look as though she had fried a cake.
As I was marvelling at this unusual way of baking, she tipped it over to reveal a scrummy looking pineapple upside down cake.

As clever as this technique is, I shan't try this at home - my frying pan handles would melt!
