Song for Coal

An unexpected day out today at Yorkshire Sculpture Park. It was on my list of things to do as I really wanted to go and see this 'Song for Coal', a new exhibit running from January to April. It coincides with the anniversary of the end of the miners strike, 30 years, blimey!

It really was an interesting piece. Each little segment in this stained glass was a video about coal. The soundtrack was a plainsong so the whole effect really was something else, quite spiritual I thought.

The rest of the park was brilliant and so was the company. Thank you for inviting me along xxx
