Spider Flower

South American Hymenocallis or spider flower. The city council have planted lots of these in the median strip near where we walk. In winter they disappear and the re emerge in the late spring as they need summer water. Boy do they get that here. 770 mm (over 30 inches) so far in the first 2 months of summer.
