Oregon City - Mono Monday

One of the earliest Oregon settlements, 1829, and the 'end of the Oregon Trail', Oregon City rivaled Portland until the latter half of the 1800s.
1867 blip
This blip is about one quarter or less of all the paper mills and industry that sprung up around the confluence of the Willamette and Clackamas Rivers, and the dramatic falls. Because of their age, many of the buildings are candidates for Derelict Thursday and will surely be in a future project.
The city neighborhoods are diverse and many, extending from the river up to an escarpment. Today's blip took place during midday fog that hovered just above the buildings, covering most the of the interstate on the hillside.

I would be derelict in my descriptives if I was not to mention that half way up the escarpment cliffs, at my back about 50 paces, is The Highland Stillhouse Scottish Pub. With Scottish decor and the Portland area's largest selection of single malt scotch, my visits there have been most pleasant. Their event's list would be sure to make all puddle jumpers feel at home.
