Being brave

Definition: doing something you're scared of / not letting being scared get in the way of doing things you want to do. Not official, just mine and the ones right for this little one today.

This might not seem brave but it is for an application form for an audition for a music class she might not get in to. Later we went along to watch a puppy training class. Putting aside how hilarious it is watching 6 puppies in a room want to play with each other whilst 6 owners in a room desperately try to not only stop them but then make them actuallt learn something. I suspect most actual training goes on in the quiet of your own home and what you are actually there for is to learn what you are supposed to do in between classes. Interesting and good expectation setting stuff. Though not the real reason we were there which was to help Anna get used to being around lively, jumpy puppies. And for that it worked a treat. With luck and good timing we met Sam, a 4 month old golden retriever in the car park and in seconds Anna had gone from, "I'll just sit in the corner and watch" to full on stroking and petting and "oh my god he's soft and lovely mommy". We could have just turned around and gone home then. But glad we didn't as the class was fun and Anna just got more and more excited about the whole thing.

Before all this there was a full on admin frenzy of both the work and home varieties. And after it a full on frenzy of a tap class.

Home for a relax in front of Wolf Hall. And an unexpected email letting us know that a local residents group might be applying for our house (amongst others) to be listed by English Heritage. So I suspect now a little more admin to find out whether we want to have an opinion on that. We are already in a Conservation Area and have all the restrictions that brings so I can't see it making much difference to us but you never know. If anyone does have any experience or entirely non fact based opinions they'd be welcomed.

I was hoping for a little read before sleep but I can feel my eyes going already.
