It must be nearly my birthday!

Every year, without fail, I am surprised and delighted by the arrival of a glorious bunch of freesias from my Mum's cousins Jean and Victor! I love them! They remind me of my Mum and of Jean's mother - my Great Auntie Ethel. The arrival of the freesias denotes the start of my birthday celebrations! These arrived yesterday and have spent the night in a warm kitchen so when I got up this morning they had opened and the room was full of their delicious, peppery, unique freesia scent. Mmmmm....... wonderful! I'm looking forward to the weekend!
