its a puzzle to me.....

....... how I came to spend thousands on this tree!!!
Years ago when I was a young man with rather more hair than I now have, a rather crusty old dowager ,irritated that she was reduced to travelling by bus, was moved to remark that " I suppose that if he looks like a gorilla ,he will behave like a gorilla ".......the reason for her outburst is a tale for another day ; but perhaps she saw some element of my character that explains my delight at this tree !! :-D
And in mitigation at my splashing out of serious money ,it came with a rather splendid Victorian stone house and a garden 330 ft long ,in which are a further30 mature trees and a wee burn!!
And a view of the sea.....well, Clyde Estuary!!......but still a grand place to sit and watch the Tall Ships from :-)
The down side is that  tomorrow I must leave behind my much loved Moffat garden with its copper beech and frog filled pond ,and wee house  (into which I crammed 60 people on Saturday ....plying them with food and drink in the hope that it might take their mind off tarring and feathering me and escorting me to the outskirts of town !! )
So on Monday I have to start all over again and wrestle with 1/2an acre of wildwood!!    Sigh!

And I seem to be winning against cancer :-)))))
