Peace has been declared.

I received a summons from the Fairy Court this afternoon.
Damned inconvenient if you ask me.
I was just about to have my dinner.
I brought the camera with me, more in hope than expectation.
Set it up on the tripod with the remote trigger.
At the appointed time the trees began to shimmer and blur.
A door began to appear.
You may know it better as a fairy door but I prefer to call it a portal.
The King and Queen duly made their entrance and thanked me very graciously for attending to the grotto while they were away.
They said that they would pay more attention to my strange human sensitivities in future.
Well, that's progress.
I thanked them sincerely for their gift of the painting and we parted on the best of terms.
