Sustentaculum tali

A day at the bone-face, getting the charnel catalogued.
There were a pair of these ankle/heel bones with an unusual configuration. I told M  about the fact that the sustentaculum tali was not fused to the calcaneus, but had become incorporated into the talus itself.
I know! And bilaterally, too!
She's a funny girl, didn't seem very amazed.
First time I've ever seen it, though...
