Leadenhall
My final stock signing of the tour was at Leadenhall Market this morning - after I had committed the cardinal sin of forgetting to turn off my phone during an interview with BBC Radio Manchester. Of course, someone called mid-interview. Fortunately it was not live, so the editors could snick it out.
Final event was at Waterstones, Piccadilly, where it was standing room only, and the discussion about Runaway was chaired by the extraordinary Barry Forshaw.
Then it was on to Merchants Tavern in Shoreditch where my old pal Neil Borthwick is chef and co-owner. He handwrote a special menu for our end of publishing party and everyone in the group was blown away by the food.
Now it will be up at the crack of dawn to catch an early flight home and give J a big cuddle.
