Tree Felling

It was a sad event in some ways but also a relief to have the eucalyptus tree cut down. It was quite a scary job for the young man (18) who climbed the tree as is swayed in the fierce blustery wind this morning. The two men worked very skilfully and efficiently, doing an excellent job of felling, logging, clearing up and kindly stacking the logs in my garage. I also gained a bin full of sweet smelling chippings to use for mulching in the garden later in the year. Now I only need to chop the logs, they advised me to get is done ASAP before the wood dries out and they become rock hard.
