Harsh afternoon sun

I was expecting the start of some more extreme weather on my walk this afternoon, but most of the drama came from the very bright low sun. This corner of the wood boundary always looks interesting as the setting sun shafts its way through the old hornbeam stubs that survive along the wood bank. I decided that a monochrome shot would bring out the best in this scene.
