Silkworms and weasel poop

After a bit of a lie-in to recover from yesterday's activities, I rented a scooter with 4 others from the hostel and we went on a little tour of Da Lat. First we accidentally ended up at a rubbish tip, then we took a nice new mountain road with gorgeous views to a coffee planation and had 'weasel coffee', made using coffee beans which have been digested by weasels. We sat looking out over the fields with our strong, delicious coffee.

Next was Cường Hoàn silk factory where we got to see the silk at all the different stages from the silkworms to the finished products. These girls were using the machines to unravel the silk from the cocoons.

On the way back we stopped in a tiny village for some food and visited a temple where we met a monk who uses Facebook.
