Blue Umbrella

Taken from the 62 bus on the Rue Tolbiac in Paris 13e, in light rain. Not sure how many passersby might be enticed by the idyllic beach advertised.  The holder of the blue umbrella seems to have three legs, but I think she has someone else directly behind her.  Today's blue contrasts nicely with yesterday's roseEdit:My favorite email commentator observed that the bathing suit is advertising a theater play and not travel to a pretty beach.

I was on the way to the Bibliothèque François-Mitterrand to see an exhibition of photographs by Alix Cleo Robaud, a highly modernist photographer who died in 1982 at age 31.  Her style is not particularly to my taste, but the exhibition was fascinating.  A wide selection of her images on the internet is here.

An image of the Mitterand library from last year is here, with further links. It's near our apartment, so we often visit it.
