Still standing

As in most organisations, when the fire alarm goes off at work it is usually someone burning toast or a contractor bashing something with their elbow (or possibly arse), but today it was an actual fire in a fumehood.  Something involving potassium and solvent by the sound of it, and it only resulted in some minor soot damage, but if that sort of thing got out of hand, especially knowing what else is on that floor...it would get very messy.  A good reminder for us not to be complacent.
