The face mask
Due to a number of reasons, one being mine and hubbies recent escape to Spa, Olivia has got into her head that she would like to have a 'spa' party for her birthday which is in the summer! She likes to plan this girl does! Activities include pedicures, massage, face masks and a fashion show.
On a Saturday we have fallen into the routine of hubby taking Dex to his kin-ball class in the morning and then me taking Olivia to her gymnastics class later on. I asked Olivia what she'd like to do and she asked if we could try a face mask. I happened to have one in the bathroom cupboard as I have been meaning to take better care of my skin for some time now. It was a chocolate and orange one so I had to spend some time telling Olivia that she couldn't eat it even if it did smell really good! I told her that we had to keep it on for ten minutes and that we could read our books while we waited which is what we did for about 30 seconds before the inevitable 'my face is itchy' or 'I need to scratch my nose' started. We face timed Grandma as I knew she would find it amusing and this managed to distract Olivia from itching her face and making a big mess. Once we'd washed it all off and I'd applied some moisturiser to us both, Olivia declared that she'd changed her mind and didn't think it would be a good idea to do this at her party. Thank goodness!
Later on I was showing Dexter the photos and he said "Which one is Olivia?"
Talk about a miracle face mask! It made my day!
