Another Cactus
"The organ pipe cactus (Stenocereus thurberi) is a species of cactus found from southwestern Arizona south to Sonora, Sinaloa and Baja California in Mexico. Organ Pipe National Monument in Arizona was created to protect the cactus in its northern most range." It's name is for obvious reasons.
I never expected to love the desert as much as I do.
I have always loved mountain forests- the smell of pine, the richness of the green, the sound of rushing water.
And I still do.

The raw beauty is breath taking.
The adaptations of the plants and animals are inspiring.
The silence is amazing.
It's funny how the heart chooses sometimes.
"The heart has its reasons of which reason knows nothing."-Blaise Pascal
