It Worked!
On the second try, homemade ice cream was a success. A couple days ago all we got was sweet soup, but not the same story this time!
We whipped whipping cream until it was very fluffy and stiff. Then mixed our toppings with a can of sweetened condensed milk and folded in the flavor. After that you just freeze it until it's firm! So easy!
We made three flavors, chocolate chip, cookies and cream, and blueberry. Soooo good, very rich, and extremely creamy! The dorm girls loved it (especially paired with brownies, chocolate syrup, sprinkles, and roasted peanuts.) All the sweet made saying goodbye to two of the girls a little easier and welcoming two others a cinch. :)
