Obscured
The strangest thing was going on with the sun today....
Decided to give a go at photographing the annular solar eclipse this afternoon. It began around 5:30 pm, and with a pair of eclipse glasses taped to my lens, I had a nice clear shot of the magic. Then, about 45 minutes later, literally just as the eclipse was about to peak, the clouds that had been hanging back all afternoon blew in and completely blocked the view! We waited for a few minutes, figuring that would be it for us, but then, just as suddenly, the clouds receded, and there it was--the ring of fire. I tried without success to find a perspective where the trees weren't in the way--another unforeseen obstacle to clear viewing--and snapped off a bunch of shots. This was the sharpest one I got of the full ring.
I'll tell you, between the clouds and the trees and the moon, it was very hard to see the sun this afternoon.
Yesterday is backblipped.
