Oak leaves

Not a very inspired title.... not a very inspiring selection of photos to choose from today either.

I did have an exciting moment in the garden though, when I came upon a snake - had it not been slow and in winter mode, both the dog and I (but probably Lucy, who stupidly went for it!) would have been at the hospital now. I've never seen one at this time of year before - it was lying in the sun warming itself. Of course by the time I'd rescued Lucy and got out my phone to take a photo, it had slithered off into the bushes. It was like a tiger snake, but the head seemed different.

Never a dull moment in the Ausralian great outdoors!
